The Business Development Services component is aimed at the RK-FINFA target group, which has limited business experience and an inability to link with markets and financial service providers. Technical service providers offer business support services to SMEs and farmer groups to enable them to access markets for their produce and to access financial services.
Business support services to financial institutions participating in the R-CGS, GFF and SACCOs include the development and refinement of their agri-lending strategies and the provision of tailored products for the RK-FINFA target group to improve access to finance. Special effort is made to focus on areas where there are ongoing IFAD projects so that synergy is generated in the targeted areas.
